Dinah Adiko

Dinah Adiko is a Gender and Inclusion Expert with over twenty-one years of experience. She is our Key Advisor on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI). Ms Adiko was the Key Advisor on GESI for the T-TEL programme, where she supported 46 public Colleges of Education in Ghana to mainstream GESI in their institutions and make teacher education more GESI responsive. One key achievement was her role in supporting GTEC to develop a five-year National GESI Strategy and Action Plan for Teacher Education (2020 – 2025). She was also instrumental in Colleges of Education efforts to tackle sexual harassment through the development of sexual harassment policies and the establishment of response mechanisms. Ms. Adiko worked previously as the Technical Advisor on Gender at the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection of the Republic of Ghana. Part of her roles at the Ministry included the provision of technical guidance to the Ministry on implementing and monitoring all laws and policies that seek to reduce gender-based violence and promote gender equality. She was also the technical expert in charge of Ghana’s national campaign on ending child marriage and the technical advisor to the National Domestic Violence Secretariat. Over the years, Dinah has provided technical assistance and consultancy services on GESI to organisations such as the World University Service of Canada (WUSC), Hewlett Foundation, USA, Plan International Ghana, World Bank, CAMFED, University of Education, Winneba, Ashesi University, Africa Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA), Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, and Alinea Foundation.

Beryl Opong-Agyei

Beryl Opong-Agyei is T-TEL’s National Secondary Education Coordinator. She holds an MBA in Project Management, from Wisconsin International University College Ghana and a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education from the University of Cape Coast. Her career dates back to 2001 and has mainly been in donor funded education projects. She has worked in various capacities under different projects including the Community School Alliances (CSA) and the Education Quality for All (EQUALL), both USAID funded. She also worked with World University Service of Canada (WUSC), a Canadian funded project and Scope Global’s Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID). Her main areas of specialization are Educational Training which includes capacity building training for teachers, community mobilization, volunteer and program management. Beryl is good at dealing with people; especially in explaining things and getting them to learn and understand issues.

Bea Noble-Rogers

Bea Noble Rogers is an educationalist with extensive experience having worked at a national level with initial teacher trainers (ITT), local authorities (LAs) and schools. The most significant feature her work is the ability to conceive and negotiate highly effective solutions to secure educational development and the constructive interpretation and implementation of National priorities. Key areas of work have been: developing training for literacy and phonics in ITT, improving and increasing the roles of school in ITT partnerships and evaluating and supporting high quality practice in ITT. Working directly with ITT providers through: consultation, the development of materials and the evaluation and review of performance has provided Bea with an outstanding opportunity to learn about the principles, and to influence the practices, of outstanding teacher education.

Aaron Kwaku Twum Akwaboah

Aaron Kwaku Twum Akwaboah, M.Ed is the Strategy and Innovation Director and Technical Advisor at the Ministry of Education. He joined the Minister’s High Policy Team in August of 2021 after serving as an administrator at KIPP King Collegiate High School in San Leandro, California for four years. Mr. Akwaboah has 20 years of experience in the education field serving as a social science instructor, director of school operations, coach, and administrator. He holds a Master’s of Education, (Honors) focusing on Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University in Orange, California, and a BA in Geography and Political Science from The University of California, Santa Barbara. Mr. Akwaboah works directly with the National Education Reform Secretariat to ensure the Minister’s reform agenda is carried out to its most significant potential. Mr. Akwaboah is dedicated to creating the best public education system in Africa and consistently fights to put the youth of Ghana first.
