Transforming Teaching Education

Professor Eric Ananga

Professor Eric Ananga is an experienced researcher and educationalist, specializing in international education and development and the designing and conducting of both quantitative and qualitative research. He is a senior lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He also has substantial experience in developing educational policy. Prof. Ananga helped to conduct a national situational analysis of Ghana’s Education Sector, The State of Teacher Education and Early Childhood Education and led the development of Ghana’s Education Strategic Plan 2018-2030, Teacher Education Reform Policy, National Teachers Standards and National Teacher Education Curriculum Framework and Ghana’s first Early Childhood Education policy, the costed implementation plan, implementation guideline, and the policy’s monitoring, evaluation and learning framework among others. He possesses a strong working knowledge of education systems and system reform and transformation and has been involved in conducting the annual performance evaluation of all the agencies of Ghana’s Ministry of Education. Prof. Eric Ananga has a Bachelor of Education in Social Studies Education from the University of Education Winneba, Ghana, a Master of Science in Development Planning and Management Studies from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana and the University of Dortmund, Germany. He also holds a PhD in International Education and Development from the University of Sussex, UK.
