Government Partners

Ministry of Education
The Ministry of Education is mandated to provide relevant education to all Ghanaians and has responsibility for all policies on education, including apprenticeships and wider skills acquisition. MOE discharges its responsibility to provide quality education for all through the work of various autonomous bodies and agencies including Ghana Education Service (GES), National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA), National Teaching Council (NTC), National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) and Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). MoE will provide support to T-TEL to ensure that, T-TEL is working in support of and in line with the MOE’s guidance and direction to build a strong and efficient education system that delivers quality outcomes and results.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is one of the five public universities designated by GTEC to oversee implementation of the 4-year B.Ed. programme of study in collaboration with their five affiliated Colleges of Education (CoE). The CoEs are Akrokerri College of Education; Wesley College of Education, Kumasi; St. Joseph’s College of Education, Bechem; Tamale College of Education; E.P College of Education, Bimbilla

University for Development Studies
University for Development Studies (UDS) is one of the five public universities designated by GTEC to oversee implementation of the 4-year B.Ed. programme of study in collaboration with their six affiliated Colleges of Education (CoE). The CoEs are Tumu College of Education; McCoy College of Education, Nadowli; Dambai College of Education; Gambaga College of Education; St. Vincent College of Education, Yendi; and Al-Faruq - College of Education, Wenchi.

University of Education, Winneba
University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is one of the five public universities designated by GTEC to oversee implementation of the 4-year B.Ed. programme of study in collaboration with their fifteen affiliated Colleges of Education (CoE). The CoEs are Ada College of Education; Akatsi College of Education; Presbyterian College of Education; Bagabaga College of Education; Bia Lamplighter College of Education; Komenda College of Education; Mampong Technical College of Education; Methodist College of Education; Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya (NJA) College of Education; Agogo College of Education; Presbyterian Women’s College of Education; S.D.A. Mastercard Foundation is supporting the Transforming Senior High School Education, Teaching and Learning (T-SHEL), programme as part of its Young Africa Works in Ghana programme.

Jacobs Foundation
Jacobs Foundation is a charitable foundation which invests in the future of young people to give them better development opportunities and equitable access to education so that they become socially responsible and productive members of society. Jacobs Foundation is partnering with T-TEL on the Ghana District Change Project. This project aims to develop adaptive learning ecosystems within districts and communities to provide all children with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, tools, and equitable opportunities to reach their full learning potential and thrive together.

EdTechHub
EdTech Hub is a global non-profit research partnership. Its goal is to empower people by giving them the evidence they need to make decisions about technology in education. EdTechHub provided a research grant for T-TEL's COVID-19 Impact Assessment Study. The COVID-19 Impact Assessment study sought to generate evidence about whether the approaches adopted during the closure of Colleges of Education (CoEs) due to Covid-19 led to an improvement in teaching by tutors and learning among student teachers.

University of Oxford
The University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government with support from the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), and the Education Commission worked with T-TEL to build evidence on delivery approaches to address pressing gaps in knowledge widened by the COVID-19 pandemic.
