Peter Jayom Chammik

Peter Chammik is a Regional Team Lead based in Damongo. He has considerable experience in the education sector, both public and private. He was a tutor at the Tamale College of Education from 1990 to 2000. Between 2000 and 2009, he worked with Catholic Relief Services(CRS) where, as Senior Program Officer, he supervised USAID/UNICEF-funded programs in Education. From 2009 to 2012, he managed CRS’ Office in Wa, where he coordinated education and health programs implemented by a consortium of CRS, Care International, International Union for the Conservation of Nature and other partners. Prior to joining T-TEL in September 2015, Peter worked at IBIS Ghana, (now OXFAM) as Education Management Specialist. Peter has great interest in teacher education and advocacy, especially for increasing access to quality education for girls, minorities, and other vulnerable populations in rural and deprived communities as well as environmental sustainability.
