YVETTE IYADEDE

Yvette Iyadede has been working in the field of inclusive education for over five years, actively leading initiatives that have significantly improved education for learners with disabilities in Rwanda. In close partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB), she has focused on making teaching and learning materials more accessible and providing assistive technology for learners with disabilities. Her considerable involvement in the establishment and development of the Special Needs and Inclusive Education Department within the REB has been crucial in creating an education ecosystem that now strives for inclusivity in all initiatives. Yvette’s contributions, especially in human resources, have been instrumental in shaping the department’s strategies and ensuring the effective implementation of inclusive education policies.
Driven by a firm belief in the power of digital solutions and technology, Yvette is dedicated to bridging educational gaps. Her efforts ensure that education is inclusive and accessible to everyone, particularly learners with disabilities. With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and an MBA, she brings a unique combination of technical knowledge and project management skills to her role.
Yvette’s effectiveness in her field is further evidenced by her collaboration with various government and international development organizations. She has played a key role in implementing projects supported by notable entities such as the Mastercard Foundation, the World Bank, USAID, and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). Her ability to work with diverse teams and align different objectives towards common goals in inclusive education has been a consistent element of her professional journey.
