Lila Adom Yamuah
Lila is a development professional with a unique experience in Ghana’s rural, gender and educational development space. She has over 7 years of experience in implementing, monitoring and researching socio-economic issues impacting young adults, improving access and quality in education, women empowerment and leadership.
Lila worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University for Development (Wa-Campus) for 4 years before joining Plan Ghana-C4D as the Project Coordinator for the UNICEF Ghana Change project in the Upper West Region. She also worked with Varkey Foundation Train for Tomorrow as a Regional Coordinator and Teacher Trainer in the Greater Accra, Volta and Oti Regions.
She holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the University of Ghana and a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Development Studies from University for Development Studies. Lila has supported policy formulation and alignment within the development space, organization and implementation of projects within various communities, and researched critical factors that impact social interventions in rural and urban communities.
Lila particularly enjoys working with young adults and has had a rich experience working with and across various institutions within Ghana’s education sector. She has expertise in overall planning and delivery of school-community engagement activities; Teacher training; Support and training of local partners to monitor training, school-based activities and lesson delivery, that informs project’s outputs; monitoring, evaluation and reporting to Project Management.
Lila aspires to deliver unique services through solid work ethics and organizational focus orientation to improve access and quality in Ghana’s Education, thereby creating personal satisfaction and causing a social change and a more equitable and just society with economic order.
