James Adefra
James Adefrah is a Regional Team Lead based in Kumasi. He holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Management, Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Special Education and Social Studies Education from University of Education, Winneba and Teachers’ certificate “A” from St. John Bosco College in Navrongo. James has worked at Tamale, in the northern zonal office as Education Advisor supporting ten Colleges of Education. He worked briefly in the Regional Education Directorate as a Regional Coordinator for Special Education in the then Brong Ahafo region. James has over 25 years teaching experience, spanning across the various levels of the educational system in Ghana. He has over a decade experience in the Colleges of Education, teaching regular, sandwich and distance education students at diploma and post-diploma levels. He has contributed immensely to the writing and facilitation of teaching practice handbooks, Supported Teaching in School (STS), Professional Development (PD) materials, National Teachers` Standards (NTS), and the National Teacher Education Assessment Policy (NTEAP). James impacted greatly while in St. Joseph’s college when he coordinated College Improvement Planning, Challenge Fund Project, Payment by Results, Teaching Practice and Professional Development Sessions. He is a team player, results oriented, a good communicator and works with minimal supervision. His interest includes facilitation.
